About The Stack 42
An independent software company making private, local-first apps.
The Stack 42 is the name under which [[LEGAL_NAME]], a limited liability company in the United States, develops and publishes software. We're a small, independent studio. Each of our apps starts from a real, everyday need and is refined through long daily use before it's released.
Our mark is a stack of six layers. Read from the top, lit and dark, it spells 101010: 42 in binary.
What we believe
- Your data belongs on your devices. Our apps work without an account with us, and everything they store can be exported.
- No tracking. No ads, no analytics, no data brokers. Not in our apps, and not on this website.
- Built to last. Plain, well-tested software that's inexpensive to keep running, so it can be supported for a long time.
